Qin Dynasty - The Qin Dynasty () (221 BC - 207 BC) was preceded by the Zhou Dynasty and followed by the Han Dynasty in China. Qin, which has a pronunciation similar to the English word "chin," is a possible origin of the word "China" (see China in world languages).
Later Qin - The Later Qin (Simplified Chinese character: åŽç§¦, Traditional Chinese character: 後秦, pinyin HòuqÃn) (384-417) was a state of Qiang ethnicity of the Sixteen Kingdoms during the Jin Dynasty (265-420) in China. Note that the Later Qin is entirely distinct from the ancient Qin Dynasty, the Former Qin, and the Western Qin.
